There are plenty of ways to celebrate in this region

As Ontario’s sunniest and warmest growing region, we take pride in Essex county’s ability to ripen grapes to a high quality level. With 14 wineries in our group, you will find a diverse selection of style and varietal selection that represents the character of our terroir.
EPIC wineries together host four annual events – a fun way to experience the area. Visit epicwineries.com for a listing of local wineries, events, and maps to find them.
The towns of Essex County have steadily added amenities. Consider Amherstburg, the closest town to the winery. With the most scenic waterfront views in the county it’s a must stop to enjoy an ice cream while taking in the boardwalk, with great restaurants to choose from. It also carries history as Fort Malden was the birthplace of Amherstburg.
Kingsville is found on the other end of wine county, with multiple restaurants and accommodations it’s a great choice for a place to stay if you like the nightlife after a day of wine touring.

Bike Rides
Bike the Wine Trail and enjoy the sprawling farmland and shoreline as you visit the Wineries. Rent a bike or ebike or bring your own to enjoy the ride.
For mountain bike enthusiasts, there are light challenge courses around the County here or nearby trails at the Libro Center in Amherstburg
For guided bike tours – have Windsor Eats take you on an EPIC bike adventure, or if staying in Windsor join a fun Friday Night Lights bike ride around town.
Kayaking/Canoeing
Kayak or canoe to or from Holiday Beach and take the scenic route along the shoreline of Lake Erie to Sprucewood Shores walk-in beachfront. For a longer and more challenging getaway, meander your way along beautiful River Canard. Bring your own or rent locally.
Bird Watching
Our Hawks Flight Series wines are a nod to the majestic Hawks that visit our property along their migration path in the fall.
The annual bird migration occurs twice per year. In the spring or fall, our waterfront location along the migration path brings us millions of birds passing overhead. Sitting on our outdoor patio is a great way to enjoy the sights.
Holiday Beach Migration Observatory is nearby and has a hawk tower that can bring you much closer to flight level of the birds.
In the spring, we recommend Point Pelee National Park as the best place to experience the influx of different bird types.
Shopping
Shop til your drop in EPIC Wine Country.
